Technology

Kintz Plastics Thermoform Engineering manufactures custom-made plastic parts for OEM's in a wide range of industries using three thermoforming technologies.

HEAVY GAUGE VACUUM FORMING:  Vacuum forming starts with a .060 gauge or thicker plastic sheet. The sheet is then heated and formed in a temperature controlled mold.

PRESSURE FORMING: When crisp features, surface detail, or deep draws are required, pressure forming is the solution. It produces surface detail that rivals that of injection molding but with a much lower tooling investment.

TWIN-SHEET THERMOFORMING: When a double sided panel is needed such as a door hatch, enclosure or housing that needs extreme structural stability or to contain hardware, cabling, fixtures or insulation; twin-sheet thermoforming is the technology to use.
